Built within the grounds of the owners property but with plenty of privacy, Woodpeckers has a stunning open plan design that immediately welcomes guests as they step inside. The dark wood flooring, combined with neutral furniture and walls makes this large space feel cosy and inviting. The stunning floor to ceiling glass doors provides a fabulous view across lush green grass and on to the Penryn river.

There is a gravelled and paved seating area directly outside so guests can relax and unwind amidst the breathtaking views at the end of the day, reading a book or watching the boats pass by on the river. The soft furnishings of this large living area and the clean, neutral kitchen all provide texture and character. The large L-shaped sofa is an ideal spot to curl up and unwind, positioned in front of the glass doors, it’s a warmer spot to enjoy the view on a cooler evening.Woodpeckers really is a romantic retreat, and the kitchen provides the perfect setting to cook up something delicious for a loved one and to share it at the dining area.

The kitchen is clean and contemporary with warm white shaker style units and a neutral worktop. The subtle wood cladding is a gentle take on a beach hut style and a subtle reminder of the stunning location of the property. There is an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher as well as a washing machine.

The bedroom is brilliantly spacious with a comfortable king size bed and a large window allowing light to fill the room. The neutral carpet and cream furniture create warmth and style. There are two bedside tables each with a lamp so guests can curl up in front of a book before setting down for the night. A large wardrobe and chest of drawers offer plenty of storage space, so luggage can be hidden away at ease... The bathroom is accessible via the bedroom and is another super modern space. Floor to ceiling tiles within the large walk-in shower add texture and dimension to the room and also adding warmth. Guests could easily enjoy a long hot shower after a day spent at the beach, freshening up before the evening. There is also a WC, hand basin, heated towel rail and a large mirror.

Dog Friendly Places: Within Flushing you'll find a year-round dog's allowed beach, stunning walks and 2 pubs and a super seafood restaurant that welcome your four-legged friend while the village shop has a biscuit for every dog collecting the papers. Hop on the river boat with your canine friend for a trip over to Falmouth

Local Area: Woodpeckers is set within a prime location to explore several areas of the wonderful Cornish coastline. Just a short walk along the nearby footpath guests will find themselves within the picturesque village of Flushing, complete with two wonderful pubs and a popular restaurant. Falmouth is only a short drive away (or take the boat from Flushing), complete with an array of boutique shops, restaurants and galleries and with fantastic travel connections to the rest of Cornwall.

Why we loved this property - It's rural location made it a very peaceful and a relaxing stay. Just a 5 to 10 minute drive and your at the local town, harbour and country walks. There are walks from the door that take you to Flushing itself, a lovely walk along the estuary. From Flushing you can get the ferry over to Falmouth.
