Whitrow farm cottage is about 300 year sold and attached to the owners own property located in Waberthwaite. The property has 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin, and a bathroom on the first floor - all centrally heated. The ground floor is one large kitchen/living room which has a quarry tiled floor with underfloor heating & wood stove. The dog friendly cottage is fully equipped including washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. microwave & electric cooker, TV etc.
There is a well-fenced lawned garden to the rear and side of the cottage, which leads directly into the 3-acre deer-fenced paddock. There is ample parking space.

Doggy heaven

Accessed directly from the secure garden we have a three-acre area of rough ground with a fair sized beck running through it. This whole area is enclosed within a 6-foot high deer fence making it an ideal exercise area for dogs.

The cottage is open all year and is rented on a weekly basis (4pm Saturday till 10am following Saturday). All bed linen supplied but not towels. Electricity is included.
We ask for a deposit when you book and the balance eight weeks before the start of your holiday. A Breakfast Basket will be left in the cottage for you on arrival containing a few essentials to get you going at the start of your holiday. Local Area - Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, Muncaster Castle, Wasdale, Eskdale

Waberthwaite is situated on the West Coast of Cumbria, within the Lake District National Park, a few miles to the south of Ravenglass. The village, officially described as a scattered hamlet, has one pub and one shop/post office. This shop is the home of Woodall’s Bacon and Cumberland Sausage – it’s worth coming for the bacon alone! The cottage is about one mile from the sea and convenient for the miles of beautiful beaches at Eskmeals and Drigg. To the West we look out over the estuaries of the rivers Esk and Irt to the Irish Sea and the Isle of Man. To the North and East we look towards Eskdale and across the valley to Muncaster Fell and Castle, famous for its 70 acres of beautiful gardens and also for the Hawk and Owl Centre which is situated in the castle grounds. (Dogs on leads are welcome everywhere except inside the Castle and inside the Hawk and Owl Centre) Wasdale is within easy reach and provides access to all of the Western Fells including Scafell, Scafell Pike and Great Gable while Eskdale provides gentler walking.

Dog Friendly Places - Dogs are welcome at many pubs in the area. Almost everywhere in this area is dog friendly including all of the miles and miles of beaches.
