The Old Stables Cottage is one of a selection of properties available for dog friendly holidays in Carmarthenshire. The area offers a great place for you and your dogs to get away for a relaxing and fun filled holiday. Some of the cottages have been designed with dogs in mind, there are tiled floors and dogs are able to go anywhere in the cottage, some properties even allow dogs on the settees and beds (you must bring your own throws though). There is also a hosepipe outside for washing off dirty dogs, lots of different sized dog bowls and every dog receives a present of treats on arrival. Many property owners love dogs too and want to make you feel very welcome.

Accommodation

For the non doggy members of the party there is a TV with Freeview and a DVD, There is also entertainment system in the kitchen. There is WiFi and this cottage has LPG central heating so is very cosy even when the weather is not so nice.

The gardens are well kept and private and enclosed, some cottages have stunning sea views. As well as the large garden there are fields around the farm where dogs can play.

West Carmarthenshire is a beautiful area for holidays, from the farm there are both sea, estuary, countryside and hill views. Laugharne itself is an ancient township with its own Portreeve (Mayor) and a castle built by Sir John Perrot. One of Laugharne's other attractions is its links to the poet Dylan Thomas and one of the houses he lived in, the Boathouse, is now a visitor centre. There two restaurants in Laugharne, two pubs, a fish and chip shop ,a gift shop, a general store down in the main square, a delicatessen, two hairdressers and a general store which contains a post office and pharmacy and a garage for car repairs.
