Old Stables Cottage specialise in dog friendly holidays in Carmarthenshire. The property is located at Sir John's Hill farm, a great place for you and your dogs to get away for a relaxing and fun filled holiday. The Cottage has undergone a major renovation and has been designed with dogs in mind, there are tiled floors and throws for the beds and settees! There is also a hosepipe outside for washing off dirty dogs, spare dog bowls, dog towels, leads and collars are all available in the cottage and every dog receives a present on arrival. We love dogs here and want to make you feel very welcome.


For the non doggy members of the party there is a TV, DVD, video, freeview and a huge video and DVD library. There is also a radio/CD cassette and a large selection of CDs. There is also a very extensive book swap library, so you don't have to bring too many books on holiday, just bring one and keep swapping it!. There is also a large selection of magazines and games and some binoculars so you can get an even better picture of the fabulous views. The cottage has LPG central heating so is very cosy even when the weather is not so nice.

West Carmarthenshire is a beautiful area for holidays, from the farm there are both sea, estuary, countryside and hill views. Laugharne itself is an ancient township with its own Portreeve (Mayor) and a castle built by Sir John Perrot. One of Laugharne's other attractions is its links to the poet Dylan Thomas and one of the houses he lived in, the Boathouse, is now a visitor centre. There are a number of very good restaurants in Laugharne, three pubs, a fish and chip shop, a bakery, 2 gift shops, two hairdressers and a general store which contains a post office and pharmacy
