The Old Stables Cottage specialises in dog friendly holidays in Carmarthenshire. The property is located at Sir John's Hill farm, a great place for you and your dogs to get away for a relaxing and fun filled holiday. The Cottage has been designed with dogs in mind, there are tiled floors and dogs are able to go anywhere in the cottage, including the settees and beds. There is also a hosepipe outside for washing off dirty dogs, lots of different sized dog bowls and every dog receives a present of Burns treats on arrival. We love dogs here and want to make you feel very welcome.

Accommodation

For the non doggy members of the party there is a TV with Freeview and a DVD, There is also a radio/CD cassette in the kitchen. There is free unlimited wifi The cottage has LPG central heating so is very cosy even when the weather is not so nice.

The beautiful garden is very secure and has stunning sea views. As well as the large garden there are fields around the farm where dogs can play. There are just 2 horses and 3 ponies who live at the farm, and as we have 10 acres there is always lots of space for dogs to play away from the horses

West Carmarthenshire is a beautiful area for holidays, from the farm there are both sea, estuary, countryside and hill views. Laugharne itself is an ancient township with its own Portreeve (Mayor) and a castle built by Sir John Perrot. One of Laugharne's other attractions is its links to the poet Dylan Thomas and one of the houses he lived in, the Boathouse, is now a visitor centre. There two restaurants in Laugharne, two pubs, a fish and chip shop ,a gift shop, a general store down in the main square, a delicatessen, two hairdressers and a general store which contains a post office and pharmacy and a garage for car repairs.
