Long Man Inn is a beautiful independent Edwardian family-run pub with four lovely B&B rooms, they are dog friendly, meaning your pet can enjoy a holiday too. Set within the historic village of Wilmington in the heart of the South Downs National Park. Perfect walking country for dogs and owners! A warm welcome awaits with a great selection of local ales and wines and fantastic fresh and tasty food. Both the pub and rooms welcome four legged friends who are greeted with treats and always made a great fuss of! We can accommodate up to two dogs per room and provide basket, bedding and two bowls, along with a little welcome pack of doggy treats.

Accommodation

Four rooms are available -

• The Folkington Room - A bright and luxurious dusky green front room with double bed and ensuite with walk-in shower.
• The Wilmington Room - A light, comfortable and characterful front room, barley cream, with luxurious double bed and ensuite with walk-in shower.
• The Alfriston Room - A peaceful moody blue side room with sumptuous double bed and ensuite with walk-in shower. This is the smaller of the four rooms and one of the prettiest!
• The Arlington Room - This Indian yellow side room is our largest, with extravagant king-size bed and spacious ensuite with both bath and walk-in shower.

The Bar

The Long Man Inn prides itself on being a traditional village pub serving the community and guests, offering fabulous food and drink in beautiful, relaxed surroundings. Open daily between 7.30am and 11pm we serve breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, light snacks, afternoon treats and dinner.

All our food is freshly prepared by our chef using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. His menu includes many vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices but if you have particular dietary needs, please raise them. We also cater for small private events and special occasions. Enjoy first-class traditional food, local ales and attentive service in our cosy pub where dogs are very welcome.

Dog friendly places - Set just off the South Downs Way, with the spectacular Cuckmere Haven and the Cuckmere River a few miles away. A list of local walks is provided to guests.
