Dog friendly Isle of Anglesey Cottage

Cowbelle cottage can sleep up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms. As a former cowshed from the late 1800s, Cowbelle Cottage has been lovingly restored to the comfy, peaceful and cosy abode it is today. We hope you’ll enjoy Cowbelle Cottage and the Isle of Anglesey as much as we do and that it will become your own favourite coast and country bolthole for your family, friends and canine companions for many happy years to come.

We welcome 2-3 well-behaved standard sized dogs at our discretion (please contact us to discuss). Treats are available on arrival and we provide use of food and water bowls. You'll find country walks from the cottage door, with the nearest beach a short 10 min drive and the nearest dog friendly pub a 6 min drive.

Accommodation -

The cottage sleeps 4 (1x Double with memory foam topped, sprung mattress and 1x Twin with standard sized singles, suitable for adults and children) + travel cot. High chair, baby bath, child-friendly dinnerware and Netflix Child profile also available.

Cowbelle Cottage is a fully equipped dog friendly self-catering cottage with log burner, WIFI, Smart TVs and Netflix. We also provide a selection of books and games. There is a family dining area and a private, enclosed Courtyard garden complete with pretty overhead festoon lighting.

Dog Friendly Places: We have plenty of Dog Friendly recommendations locally within our welcome pack. There are many dog-friendly beaches all over Anglesey, including our favourites - Aberffraw Bay, Penrhos Beach, Porth Tywyn Mawr (‘Sandy Beach’ - closest to Cowbelle Cottage), Red Wharf Bay, Rhoscolyn - Borth Wen, Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay, but there are some with restrictions to be aware of. Notably at Benllech, Cemaes Bay, Llanddona and Porth Dafarch.

Newborough Forest’s woodland walk is surrounded by beautiful Corsican pine trees. Start at the car park at Malltraeth (LL62 5BA) and take the wide track through the forest, which opens out onto the scenic, spectacular sandy beach with dunes and the old church, Ynys Llanddwyn. Explore the dunes backing Traeth Llydan near Rhosneigr.

Beaumaris Castle - dogs and their owners are allowed in all the ground floor and outdoor areas of the castle, including the weapons room, the inner courtyard and a small cinema where a film charts the history of the castle. Seacoast Safari Cruises (leap abroad this dog-friendly trip to Puffin Island with your furry friend).

National Trust Plas Newydd House & Gardens, Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, LL61 6DQ - dogs are free to visit almost all areas of the gardens and grounds, including the areas outside the mansion and previously restricted areas, such as the Rhododendron Garden and Camelia Dell. Water bowls are available outside the Visitor Centre, Old Dairy Cafe and the Sunroom Kiosk. Red dog waste bins are located by the Visitor Centre, the entrance to Church Wood and opposite the Terraced Garden steps (just behind the fuschia bushes). Penrhos Coastal Park.
