Dog friendly, country pub with restaurant, 4 star bed and breakfast not far from Shaftesbury Dorset. There are 10 spacious rooms that are situated around the tastefully converted farm court yard with easy access to the pub. With wonderful views of the surrounding Dorset countryside, the Coppleridge Inn is the ideal place to relax and unwind.
We had the pleasure of staying here for one night, you can read our review further down. The B&B is happy to accept pets and your dog will be made very welcome.

The breakfast room has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Guests may wish to relax in the licensed bar or perhaps soak up the sun in the guest house's gardens.

We had the pleasure of a single night stay at the Coppleridge Inn during October 2022. We had a pleasant initial telephone chat with the owner regarding our dog accompanying us. It was apparent to us straight away that this establishment was very dog friendly. The owner informed us of the nightly dog charge, we asked about having our dog with us whilst we ate our breakfast, the owner said that this is not a problem as we could have our breakfast in the main bar. Perfect. In the morning our table for breakfast was all set up ready and waiting for us.

The Coppleridge Inn is a beautiful building in a lovely peaceful location. We had a very relaxing stay, the beds were very cumfy, in fact we all had a really good nights sleep, sometimes you find a dog does not settle well on a 1st night, but here he was very settled and slept right through (country air).

Car parking is in the main car park which is just a short walk. There is a drop down area closer to the rooms if you have lots of luggage or an older dog. 

Positives; rooms all around a courtyard which means no having to go through a main building. Rooms where very clean and spacious with all you need (plenty of room on the floor for a dog bed or two). Each room has independent radiator heating with thermostat so you can adjust to how you like it. Un-suite bathroom with shower and a separate bath (for us). We had our dog with us for breakfast which was in the main bar. No dog you could eat in the restaurant area.  We found walks right on the door which is ideal for dog walking before breakfast or before bed.

We really enjoyed our stay, we slept really well and so did our dog so for us we would return again.

Not so positives; When we stayed rooms needed a little maintenance (cracks in walls and ceiling), Shower does work well but the temperature setting control needs de-scaling and it is quite difficult to turn. They have young staff serving breakfast, they were polite but did not smile a great deal, I guess young and shy so will not hold against them (just need to smile). We had a lovely cooked breakfast veggie and gluton free option (would have liked a gluton free sausage though instead of No sausage) Veggie sausages available.

Overall; Staff polite and friendly, spacious rooms in a great location, quiet area. comfy beds, cooked breakfast in bar area with our dog or in restaurant area if you don't have a dog. We enjoyed our stay and would return as we felt very relaxed. Happy to recommend.
