Pet Friendly Accommodation - The Granary, Bakers Mill Farm Cottages Dorset Pets welcome, Dogs, Cats, Small animals & Horses allowed The Granary is full of character and is situated in the row of cottages, over two floors. It is approached from the courtyard via a path over the rill. Entry is into the cosy sitting/dining room. The kitchen leads off this room. The shower room is downstairs off the kitchen, and stairs from here, lead up to the twin bedded room. Facilities in The Granary include a fully equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave, toaster, fridge freezer, washing machine, and vacuum cleaner. A TV is provided in the sitting room, and shaver point in the shower room. Central heating, electricity, linen and towels are included in the rent. A cot and high chair are available upon request. Bakers Mill Farm nestles in the beautiful and peaceful river Axe valley surrounded by the rolling hills and picturesque villages of West Dorset. The working farm dates from the early 1600's and is a haven for wildlife. You may see rabbits, foxes, badgers, and deer. The deer are not shy and you can often see them grazing near the cottages. Heron, geese, ducks and buzzards can be seen and there are many species of smaller birds on the farm, ideal for those of you interested in bird watching. During the summer swallows and house martins will be flying all around the cottages. Water voles and otters have recently inhabited the farm. You can see the holiday cottages in the centre of the picture. They comprise a Grade II listed stone barn and traditional farm buildings which have been tastefully restored to create four terrace cottages, each with one double bedroom sleeping two plus cot, and a barn conversion with three double bedrooms, sleeping six plus cot. There is also a recreation room, laundry room, BBQ area, and three stables for visitors horses. They surround a sunny courtyard, featuring a rill and small pond. A paddock is available for horses if required. One pet per cottage is permitted, for which there is a small charge. As this is a working farm with an abundance of wildlife we ask that dogs are kept under close control. There is no-smoking in any of the properties or the recreation room. Thomas Hardy's countryside, historic market towns and Jurassic Heritage coast are all within easy reach of this idyllic setting.
