Pet Friendly - The Coach House, Cotswolds 2 bed, sleeps 6, Pets welcome, dogs accepted, cats accepted Dear Doggy Friends Nestling in the beautiful Toadsmoor Valley, a few miles from Stroud in the Cotswolds, is The Old Coach house which is the perfect place for dogs of all shapes and sizes to come and spend a relaxing few days holiday with their well behaved owners. The cottage has an enclosed garden and a very tempting swimming pool. You can charge straight from the gate into your own 25 acres of woodland. There is a fenced paddock where you can let off steam and also a 28 square metre stone built "dog-house" where you can doze while your owners go to a restaurant or sight-seeing. It is heated in winter and cool in summer. It's a perfect place for wet, muddy dogs to dry-off (or for any extra four-legged friends you bring to sleep in overnight). Only two dogs may sleep in the cottage at night and you are not allowed on the furniture but there are various sized beds and baskets provided for your use in the "K9-Quarters". Doggy towels, feeding bowls, pooper-scoopers, electric dog dryer and doggy treats are provided. There are ample flood lights in the garden which your family can switch on for your late night excursions. All dogs stay free of charge but because we know that in your excitement you may be more exuberant than normal and forget to be good, we do ask your owners for a returnable deposit of £25 per dog per week to cover the cost of any extra cleaning or minor damage that you (or your owners!) may accidentally cause. Of course if you get into real trouble and accidentally eat a carpet, a sofa or our cat we would ask your owners to cover the cost of replacement in full. Hope to see you soon from "Tiny Tim" the Newfoundland The Acommodation The Old Coachhouse is an attractive early C19th Cotswold Stone building which was originally a stable with trap house above and an adjoining Victorian potting shed. The accommodation now comprises two bedrooms (sleeping 2 to 6 people), a sitting/dining room, bathroom, hall and kitchen. The furnishings are in keeping with the cottage; comfortable, pretty, homely and spotlessly clean but it is neither luxurious nor over-spacious! Outside the cottage is a 24' circular heated swimming pool, shared by visitors and our own family and guests (approx. May to September or October, subject to the weather). It is 4'-5' deep and has no shallow end. On hot days it is gorgeous, reaching up to 82°F We also have an out-door, hot, bubbling hydro-therapy spa tub (kept at 100°-104°F all year round). Beside the pool there is a barbecue and sunbeds for lounging and soaking up the sun or just enjoying the peace and quiet. Please bring your own inflatable toys, bathrobes and loads of towels! Please remember to mention Pet Holiday Finder when making enquiries   Additional Photos Local Area The cottage occupies a sheltered, elevated, rural position with views over the lower end of the wooded Toadsmoor Valley and adjoining Golden Valley. There is ample parking. The cottage is separated from our house by a large lawn and both properties stand in 25 acres of steeply sloping woodlands and paddocks with level areas of mature garden. Footpaths lead directly from the gardens into the woods. We are at the top of a long, steep, private drive. We have no close neighbours but do have a local shop, telephone, bus stop and a pub all within a few minutes drive. The woods provide almost total seclusion - it is a beautiful spot. The grounds are well fenced, plus a secure fence surrounds the cottage garden. A large kennel is also available and all clean, friendly pets with responsible owners are most welcome. Please note that we have 4 much loved cats, 3 dogs (not roaming free), a few ducks, a pair of peacocks and also a small flock of tame sheep. Light sleepers could be disturbed by authentic country noises (lambing is April to May and the mating season for pea-fowl is June!) Wild animals include badgers, foxes and deer. Our neighbours are rare breed farm animals.
