This traditional, Cornish Granite cottage, set up on the hill above Helford Passage offers a fantastic, comfortable, 'home away from home', with the added beauty of being just minutes walk from the beach and water. Furthermore you are in walking distance of two wonderful pubs, The Ferry Boat Inn on the waters edge at Helford Passage and The Red Lion Inn, a thatched village Inn, Mawnan Smith. Also the not to be missed Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens are just a short walk away.
Brynn Cottage was completely renovated (2005/06) and it really has been a labour of love for the owners. What strikes me most about this cottage is the fantastic, spacious communal areas. What appears to be a traditional cottage from the outside, is actually a modern, contemporary family home within. The large kitchen diner has wonderful French doors running the whole width of the room (5m) that open, concertina style onto the patio, creating an enormous room perfect for warm weather dining and entertaining.
The cottage has oil-fired central heating and beautiful, double glazed, wooden sash windows throughout
The Accommodation
Sitting Room : large room with open fire, recessed shelving, comfortable sofas and armchairs, 21" television, DVD player, music system and a selection of books and magazines. Access to under stairs cupboard housing hoover, clothes airer etc. Stairs lead from this room to the first floor
Ground Floor Shower Room : Large walk in shower cubicle, basin, heated towel rail, wc and washing machine
Kitchen/Diner : a lovely light and airy room with velux windows, glazed patio doors, dining table and chairs for 8, ample kitchen units, electric cooker, hob, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, extractor fan and kitchen island
1st floor
Master Bedroom : King-size double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and bedside tables
Twin Bedroom : The largest of the bedrooms, with twin beds, wardrobe and bedside tables
Single/Twin bedroom : with comfortable single bed with the option of a pullout bed underneath, perfect for a visiting friend or a sixth guest
Bathroom : with white suite comprising bath and hand shower attachment for hair washing, basin, heated towel rail, linen basket and wc
Outside : Landscaped secure garden, with patio area, good sized lawn, pebbled driveway providing parking for two cars, side lawn where a boat could be stored, outside tap and hooks for hanging and cleaning wet weather gear and wetsuits
