Pet Friendly Cottages - 3 Self Catering Cottages in Dorset - The Wheatsheaf, Millers Cottage & The Cob, Pets welcome, Dogs, Cats, Small animals & Horses allowed The Wheatsheaf, and Millers Cottage are adjoining cottages along one side of the courtyard with entry via a path over the rill. The Cob is situated at the end of the row, also reached via a path over the rill which flows into a small pond to the side. There is a communal enclosed grass area to the rear of the cottages, which you can access via a path to the side of the pond. All three cottages consist of open plan sitting room with kitchen diner. A twin bedded room and en-suite bathroom lead off the sitting room in The Wheatsheaf and The Cob, and in Millers Cottage the twin bedded room and bathroom are off a small hallway from the sitting room. Millers Cottage and The Wheatsheaf both have a door from the kitchen onto the grassed area to the rear of the cottages. Central heating, electricity, linen and towels are included in the rent. The cottages are fully equipped to include electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, washing machine, TV, vacuum cleaner, and shaving point. A cot and high chair are available upon request. Bakers Mill Farm nestles in the beautiful and peaceful river Axe valley surrounded by the rolling hills and picturesque villages of West Dorset. The working farm dates from the early 1600's and is a haven for wildlife. You may see rabbits, foxes, badgers, and deer. The deer are not shy and you can often see them grazing near the cottages. Heron, geese, ducks and buzzards can be seen and there are many species of smaller birds on the farm, ideal for those of you interested in bird watching. During the summer swallows and house martins will be flying all around the cottages. Water voles and otters have recently inhabited the farm. You can see the holiday cottages in the centre of the picture. They comprise a Grade II listed stone barn and traditional farm buildings which have been tastefully restored to create four terrace cottages, each with one double bedroom sleeping two plus cot, and a barn conversion with three double bedrooms, sleeping six plus cot. There is also a recreation room, laundry room, BBQ area, and three stables for visitors horses. They surround a sunny courtyard, featuring a rill and small pond. A paddock is available for horses if required. One pet per cottage is permitted, for which there is a small charge. As this is a working farm with an abundance of wildlife we ask that dogs are kept under close control. There is no-smoking in any of the properties or the recreation room. Thomas Hardy's countryside, historic market towns and Jurassic Heritage coast are all within easy reach of this idyllic setting.
