Arden Cottage is a dog friendly bed and breakfast in Somerset. A rural walking weekend in Somerset is a great way to blow away those winter cobwebs, and Arden Cottage is really well placed for long treks across Exmoor, the Quantocks and Brendon Hill. Not only are there fabulous walks from the 15th century cottage, there are also two dog friendly beaches just a short drive away. The owners have a true understanding of dogs’ requirements, and provide copies of the local dog walk guide, treats for dogs on arrival, and even have a special doggie room where dogs can chill out without their owners if desired, but may also stay in the room if they prefer as long as paws stay off the bed!

Our pretty little corn drying room looks down, through an arched window, into the Inglenook fireplace and can be used for a variety of purposes, but we like to think of it as our perfect little dog room. For your peace of mind Bishopsgate Veterinary Surgery is directly opposite Arden Cottage, so is a park for early morning dog walks .
