Glass patio doors open onto the small private garden with decked area equipped with table and chairs – perfect for al fresco meals.
Sleeping up to 4 adults, there is ample eating and cooking equipment. The seaside-styled décor in white, blues and grey is light and airy.

Soulac-sur-Mer and the Médoc Peninsula
Soulac lies by the Atlantic, near the northern tip of the Médoc Peninsula and close to the Gironde Estuary. In imitation of the then new English fashion of sea bathing, the present small town was established as a resort in the 1870s, thanks to a railway link from Bordeaux. From those times until the 1930s an astonishing collection of holiday villas was built in a style (Soulacaise) that is unique. Around 500 of them remain, ranging from little chalets to small châteaux. « Côté Océan » is a 21st century interpretation of the design.

• Surfing. Conditions are among the very best in Europe. Equipment and tuition available.
• Cycling. An extensive network of level cycle-ways enables you to pedal through the Pointe du Médoc, enjoying seaside, marshland and forest scenery. Bikes for hire locally.
• Riding. Children and adults alike can explore tracks through the pine forests on horse-back.
• Boat trips. Excursions afloat include explorations of the Gironde Estuary and a visit to the 400-year old Cordouan Lighthouse, where you can climb 220 feet for an unforgettable ocean view.
• Sea Fishing. With expert advice on board motor boats. Tackle and bait supplied. 
• Shopping. Soulac’s Rue de la Plage, running through the town centre, is bustling with stores to tempt the holiday-maker. The daily indoor market offers a splendid choice of food, wines and a fantastic assortment of fresh local seafood. Takeaways range from the finest chef-prepared French cuisine to Chinese.
• Naturist beaches. Nude bathing is famous along the French Atlantic coast. Soulac has its own official ‘wild’ beach, a little south of the town, while day visitors are welcomed at nearby Euronat, probably the world’s largest naturist village established in 828 acres of coastal pine forest.
• Architecture. Everywhere in Soulac you can admire the French Colonial style villas, unique in Europe. The 11th century church of Notre Dame de la Fin-Des-Terres, engulfed by sand dunes until the 19th century, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Roman and older history is recorded in the town’s Archaeological Museum. • Wines of the Médoc. With more than 1,000 wine estates on the Peninsula, many of the châteaux welcome visitors with produce at all price levels, from draught to vintage bottled. And if you want the very best….. Médoc offers Château Margaux, Lafite Rothschild and Mouton Rothschild.
• Night Life. Soulac is vibrant without being brash. It boasts numerous bars, a cinema, disco and casino.
• Bordeaux. Easily reached on a return day trip by car or train. One of France’s most stylish cities with World Heritage class 18th century buildings along the riverfront.

Electric cooker with oven, grill & 4-burner hob. Micro-wave, fridge/freezer, dish-washer, kettle, coffee-maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, smoke alarm. Electric window shutters. Bed linen and towels included.
Rooms : 1 Bedroom, with shower room/vanity unit leading off. Separate W.C. off Living Room.
Furniture : Bedroom :1 Double Bed, 140cm x 190cm. Fitted wardrobe with shelves and hanging space. Living Room :1 Sofa, extending to create very comfortable bed, 160cm x 200cm. Good storage in three drawers underneath. Further space in large 3-drawer chest. Dining seating indoors for 4.
Outside : The gravel/decked garden (approx. 430 square feet) overlooks the sea, is fully fenced and accessed by secure lockable gates. It is ideal for obedient dogs and has been fully tested by our pair of Border Terriers. Dining table and chairs for 4. Parking. A 10-second walk across the Promenade brings you to your own beach access, via a short path down the dune. Facing west, the garden is perfectly placed for enjoying the lavish evening display as the sun sinks into the Atlantic.
